Robbie is experienced at providing support to people from various walks of life. Holding a Master of Arts in Psychotherapy and a Higher Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy, Robbie provides counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and couples with an accepting and open approach in a safe space. As an Integrative Humanistic Psychotherapist Robbie draws from, and utilises, a number of Counselling and Psychotherapy approaches to meet the client’s needs including Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Existential, Person Centred, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy. Central to this approach is the client therapist relationship which facilitates a safe exploration of relationship to self and others, past and present, and the capacity to growth and change.
Robbie’s work as Counsellor and Psychotherapist is greatly complemented by his background of community work and experience in the commercial sector. He also holds a Master of Business Studies in Safety and Health at Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities.
Robbie is an Accredited Member of the Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and is registered with the Irish Council for Psychotherapy (ICP) adhering to their ethical guidelines and standards. He also attends regular supervision and engages with continual professional development to enable and facilitate the delivery of a professional and quality service.
